Someone recently wrote to us with a very important point.
She said: "To tell you the truth I really don't consider myself to be a 'kingdom scribe'. I'm not very good at making myself 'study' in a controlled sort of way. I sort of go all over the place wherever I end up I figure is where the Lord wants me!""
This comment really gets to the heart of our Vision for raising up "KingdomScribes".
The skills we teach are simple. Our goal is to raise up everyone in the Body of Christ as Kingdom Scribes -- not just egg-heads! Everyone! Whether in personal tutoring, face-to-face seminars or through our interactive computer based tutorial, Rightly Dividing the Word, we teach a set of study skills that anyone with a reading level less than eighth grade can read and understand.
Furthermore, like we wrote to our friend who posted the above note, "The goal of KingdomScribes isn't for you to become a Bible-consuming fanatic...
"The goal is that when you do examine a verse, you'll know exactly what four things to look for in order for your interpretation to be accurate and penetrating.
"Even if you only look at one verse a week while you're sitting in a Sunday School class -- you'll have the skills to do it accurately, as well as know how to discover its application to your life or the life of others.
"You're already doing this stuff -- but you need your skills focused. It's really simple -- not complicated (unless you like things to be complicated. Personally -- I don't!)"
If you're interested in learning how to accurately interpret Scripture yourself and yet think you might not have the "academic tools" to do so, feel free to e-mail us at emil@KingdomScribes.net and share your concerns.
Remember: The Kingdom Scribe has been "discipled by the Kingdom of Heaven", and knows how to skillfully penetrate into both the Spirit and the Word.
