Attention!!! We just got this e-mail from a brother in Uganda who e-mailed me with a prophetic teaching that's astonishing! We don't know WHO he is but we know WHERE he got this Word!
We're rewriting it (condense it and clarify it) to post for you all on both KingdomScribes.InJesus.com and this blog.
We can hardly believe it -- a Word from a bro in Uganda that is filled with the Fragrance of Spices on the Wind, blowing from the same Garden we frequent...!
***************
Exactly who authored of this e-mail is unclear. Brown Moses sent it but at the end is the name, "BWAYO PATRICK (PASTOR)". Both are unknown to me. Brown gave his snail-mail as Box 1255 Mbale, Uganda, and his e-mail as kingson19802003@yahoo.com (notice - whose son is he...and is he 23 years old???) For the purposes of this post, we'll consider "Brown Moses" to be the author.
Brown wrote that Believers must "Flee the Teaching of the Visibles!"
By "visibles", Brown refers to the pages of the Bible that can be "seen" and understood by the natural mind. That is, anyone who can read can pick up the Scriptures and "see" the "visibles" - the "shadows, copies, figures, illustrations, analogies, parables, etc." But the carnal mind can't see "beyond the veil" of these "visibles" into the "invisibles" - the Truths of the Spirit that cannot be understood by natural mind.
Here's Brown's warning: Those people who teach the Bible by teaching its "visibles" are against the teaching of the Bible by the revelation of what is invisible and only taught by the Holy Spirit. This is in line with Paul who warned that God "has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant - not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." (2Co 3.6)
Haven't you known people who "teach the Bible" but in fact, produce schism, condemnation, and death even while using the very words out of the Bible? They are "ministers of the dead letter", the "letter" that "kills". But when the Spirit is the teacher of the Word, it brings people into Life!
Brown says, "If Christ is not revealed (manifested) in you, you are yet being led by visibles (Veils)... But the visibles were appointed to serve for the pre-determined time in and by an old COVENANT as veils and thereafter be abolished to allow people to serve the true God by the New Covenant of the Spirit and not of the Letter."
The wording is awkward for English, but powerful in its directness. Brown's basic message is that true Christians must refuse any longer to approach the Scriptures as a dead letter. Teaching people only what is printed on the page of their Bible is spiritually dead. This method is antagonistic to reading Scripture through the illumination of the Holy Spirit.
So, what's this mean for KingdomScribes?
Brown asks, "Who are you reading? Moses or Christ?" When you approach the Scriptures, who's doing the interpretation - your carnal mind or the Mind of Christ?
A friend complained recently that in teaching a series of classes, for a season of time no matter what Scripture they looked at, she wound up teaching the same spiritual principle! Any Scripture she found seemed to turn back into that ongoing principle. But it's likely that she actually taught the "Spirit" and not simply the "letter" - that every time she "looked into the perfect law of liberty", she saw the Heart of God for her class at the season of time. She taught them - not as the "scribes" but as "one having authority"!
We're going to follow this whole issue up in our next blog.
The InJesus newsgroup site is better for shorter posts -- this blog will serve better for longer teachings. They both allow for you to comment in response to any of the posts.
In the next blog, we're going to deal with the Word of God as the "Sword of the LORD". The issue here is, if the Word is the Sword...whose sword is it and in whose hand is it wielded? If the sWord is in your hand - it'll only kill.
BTW -- If you want Brown Moses' unedited e-mail...
Just e-mail us at emil@KingdomScribes.net and ask for "Brown's e-mail". Delighted to pass it along.
Bless you all!
