You know, in Mt 13.11 Jesus said, "The knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven has been given to you, but not to them." Jesus intends for us to be entranced by "mysteries" -- to the point that we press into understanding them. He hasn't "wrapped truth in mystery" to keep it from us but to keep them for us -- giving to us the delightful and exciting experience of discovering the secrets of Kingdom mysteries!

One component typical of SciFi is a powerful drive to try and understand the mysteries of life, of this universe and even of the nature of "reality" -- and I suspect this "curiosity" is just the "flip side" of our "curiosity" to penetrate into Kingdom mysteries.

Thanks for sharing your insight!

Emilemilswifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11868642773655163508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11018355.post-24244629768374023502008-05-15T14:56:00.000-07:002008-05-15T14:56:00.000-07:00Hi, I found your blog through Ezinearticles. My husband can't understand what I see in things like Stargate SG1 but I have come to realize that they are always thinking outside the box. Think about it, while everyone else goes on with life as usual, they are seeing things others can only imagine.

It relates to going to new places in the Kingdom while leaving those who are not interested alone. It is not up to us to change or condemn them. We just want the "more".Glennahttp://morning-at-last.infonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11018355.post-11916020753085433642008-02-13T05:54:00.000-08:002008-02-13T05:54:00.000-08:00Sometimes taking our finger off the map is the pro...Sometimes taking our finger off the map is the problem. God, in HIs divine wisdom, knows that we tend to get grabby or leave greasy fingerprints. Sometimes perhaps He even resorts to kind of tying our hands down so that we will let Him drive. Ugh-

If the Body of Christ is thought of for a moment as a Body- then in it there would be eyes and hands and feet, elbows and bellies, etc. When "rightly" fitted together then it is complete, nothing missing, just as He designed.

Sometimes inside the "church" we struggle--- because perhaps all try to be eyes or ears or someone looks at the arm and says you have no place here.

Honoring those who labored before us seems an honorable thing.

Serving the One who we are all to labor for, should be all of our focus.

God bless you and your dear wife as you endeavor at that which God asks you to do.

May You path be highly illuminated. & As people meet you, may they all see God. In the Name of Jesus- Amen

Mya, "imavessel"

Found your link on Redeeming Passion sight. Andrea & Troy are awesome!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
